One of our largest single contracts to date, the Marshalls Creek Traffic Relief Project is located northeast of East Stroudsburg and East of the Village of Marshalls Creek in Smithfield and Middle Smithfield Townships, Monroe County. The project includes relocating US Route 209 from the center of the Village of Marshall's Creek in an effort to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety access throughout the corridor. Other roadways are also being constructed to connect to the Bypass including SR 1019, SR 2012, Mt. Nebo Road and Lakeside Drive. A roundabout will be constructed which will require traffic signal and turning lane construction.

Several structures are also called for on the project including:

  • 1.) 3 animal safe passage routes within the project (two box culverts and one bridge)
  • 2.) a superstructure replacement over Marshalls creek and
  • 3.) a bridge rehabilitation at SR 2012 over Marshalls Creek.
