Purchasing Agent

 Assist in day-to-day shop operations.
 Determine and fulfill mechanics’ and fields’ needs for parts/supplies through lookup and sourcing.
 Complete purchases and purchase orders over the phone; enter orders into computer system.
 Assist management with daily tasks.
 Develop strong business relationships with venders and field management.
 Maintain parts inventory.
 Process and receive returned items and stock orders.
 Maintain safe and secure environment as well as shop day-to-day maintenance.
 Stay current on job knowledge in order to help shop/field accomplish its goals.
 Assist with parts pick up runs if needed (if shop is short on help).
 Perform other light duty tasks as specified by the manager.

 Knowledge of heavy equipment and parts strongly preferred
 Strong communication skills.
 Excellent phone manners, sales closing skills and ability to handle objections.
 Must possess good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly.
 Willing to learn and adapt new techniques with a desire to be coached.
 Ability to work well in a fast-paced multitasking environment.
 Self-motivated and results driven with a positive team-player attitude.
 Must enjoy challenges and interacting with a variety of people and situations.
 Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment.
 Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
 Must be able to work overtime when required.
 Must report to work at designated start time.
 Must be willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Physical Requirements
 Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
 Must be able to stand for long periods, bend and climb stairs/ and ladders.

Education and Work Experience
 High school Diploma or equivalent required
 2-3 Years of previous experience preferred
