Assist in day-to-day shop operations.
Determine and fulfill mechanics’ and fields’ needs for parts/supplies through lookup and sourcing.
Complete purchases and purchase orders over the phone; enter orders into computer system.
Assist management with daily tasks.
Develop strong business relationships with venders and field management.
Maintain parts inventory.
Process and receive returned items and stock orders.
Maintain safe and secure environment as well as shop day-to-day maintenance.
Stay current on job knowledge in order to help shop/field accomplish its goals.
Assist with parts pick up runs if needed (if shop is short on help).
Perform other light duty tasks as specified by the manager.
Knowledge of heavy equipment and parts strongly preferred
Strong communication skills.
Excellent phone manners, sales closing skills and ability to handle objections.
Must possess good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly.
Willing to learn and adapt new techniques with a desire to be coached.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced multitasking environment.
Self-motivated and results driven with a positive team-player attitude.
Must enjoy challenges and interacting with a variety of people and situations.
Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment.
Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Must be able to work overtime when required.
Must report to work at designated start time.
Must be willing to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
Must be able to stand for long periods, bend and climb stairs/ and ladders.
Education and Work Experience
High school Diploma or equivalent required
2-3 Years of previous experience preferred
