Nestled in the heart of the hometown of Leeward Construction, Inc., this venture is exactly the high profile job the company strives to work on. Within the three year project schedule the town will receive an updated reconfiguration to allow for the increase in traffic volume. The primary specifications consist of building a 133′ x 38′ 2-span bridge to cross the Lackawaxen River and replacing a 73′ x 165′ 3-span bridge located on Fourth Street. Secondary tasks include drainage improvements and resurfacing about 1.63 miles of roadway to accommodate the more efficient traffic pattern. The culminating steps will include erecting traffic signals and redirecting travel on Main Street to south bound only and Church Street to the north.
