With floodwaters inflicting significant damage to the embankment and underbelly of State Route 4007, it became evident to PennDOT repairs were going to be necessary. Leeward Construction began the emergency work to mend the slope with a rock treatment that will provide an added support system in case of future flooding. As outlined in the contract, the concluding steps will entail the placement of superpave asphalt and pavement markings, the installation of new guiderail as well as the proper erosion control and environmental measures to avoid polluting Fox Hollow Creek.
