Groundskeeper/Shop Laborer

Description

Leeward Construction, Inc. is seeking a reliable, hardworking Groundskeeper / Shop Laborer to assist with the day-to-day upkeep of our shop, equipment yard, buildings, and company property.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping a property clean and organized, and is willing to help wherever needed around a busy construction shop and yard.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and sees what needs to be done. The right candidate will be dependable, willing to work, and comfortable performing a variety of duties rather than being limited to one specific task.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain company grounds, shop areas, equipment yard, and surrounding property
  • Mow, weed trim, and perform general grounds maintenance
  • Keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and free of debris
  • Pressure wash trucks, equipment, and work areas
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining company vehicles and equipment
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials and supplies
  • Assist shop personnel with general labor and cleanup
  • Perform basic building and property maintenance
  • Assist with seasonal work, including leaf cleanup and snow removal
  • Help keep tools, supplies, and materials properly organized
  • Perform other general labor duties as needed

 

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Previous construction, shop, landscaping, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred
  • Comfortable working around trucks and heavy construction equipment
  • Ability to safely operate basic lawn and property maintenance equipment
  • Dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently when needed
  • Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with a labor-intensive position
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
