Volumetric Concrete Truck Driver/Operator

Description

A Volumetric Concrete Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a volumetric concrete mixer truck to transport, mix, and deliver concrete to construction job sites. This position requires CDL driving skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to produce concrete according to customer specifications on-site.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Safely operate a volumetric concrete mixer truck to and from job sites
  • Load sand, stone, cement, water, and admixtures into the truck
  • Mix and dispense concrete according to job specifications and customer needs
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections
  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of truck and equipment
  • Monitor material usage and complete delivery tickets accurately
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, contractors, and customers
  • Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance including greasing, fueling, and basic troubleshooting
  • Assist with yard, plant, or loader operations as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license preferred
  • Air brake endorsement preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs and climb on/off equipment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Construction or concrete experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
  • Exposure to dust, noise, mud, uneven terrain, and outdoor elements
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and work around active construction sites
